| Dr. Hugh J. Jessop, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer Indiana University Health Center at Indiana University
Dr. Jessop has been employed at the Indiana University Health Center (IUHC) since 1982 and has been the Executive Director and CFO since 1987. In 1983, the IUHC handled the first major outbreak of measles out break in the US. The IUHC worked with the CDC in developing a strategy to immunize more than 30,000 people as quickly as possible.
Dr. Jessop has assembled a staff of health care professionals that are capable of dealing with the needs of the 40,000 students at IU, Bloomington. There public health response skills have been tested with bacterial meningitis, tuberculosis and other communicable disease responses. In his role as Executive Director, Dr. Jessop serves on a number of University Committees which include Pandemic Response Planning, Emergency Operations Center Management and the Planning Committee for Emergency Response. In those roles he assists the other members of the institution in identifying levels of awareness, preparedness planning and medical and mental health intervention strategies in the event of a disaster or pandemic.
