Anil Shetty is currently the Assistant Director of Pre-Health Advising, where he oversees a variety of operations, programming, resources, and advising related to students seeking out careers in healthcare.

Born and raised in the county of Dade (Miami, FL), Anil is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Georgia, studying the narratives of supervisors in higher education through the Learning, Leadership, and Organizational Development program.

As a first-generation college student and son of two immigrant parents, Anil’s motivation for working in higher education is centered around the focus on helping students and learners find the best version of themselves.

Anil formerly worked at both Florida State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology as a professional in the functional areas of leadership programming, orientation, and student conduct / academic integrity, and Title IX work. Anil’s previous educational experiences involved completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Statistics from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Higher Education & Student Affairs Administration from Florida State University.

Outside of professional and academic responsibilities, Anil enjoys keeping up with the NBA and college football, trying new food spots in Atlanta (especially ice cream and coffee, while maintaining COVID safety, of course), watching lots of movies and shows (especially anything affiliated with Marvel Studios), listening to music, and enjoying time with his family.
