Title IX is clear about pregnancy and parenting but not clear on HOW or WHAT that means for an institution’s response, creating confusion and the potential for an inconsistent system riddled with inequity and regulatory violations. With an increase in pregnancy and/or parenting accommodation requests, universities must have best practices and policies in place to avoid missteps.
